Director/Senior Engineer

Mark graduated in 1997 with a Civil and Structural Engineering degree from the University of Tasmania and is also a qualified Project Manager. As co-founder and Director of Aldanmark, he has been involved in the building industry for 20 years and provides civil and structural consulting on commercial projects as well as overseeing project management services. In 2004 he completed a Civil Engineering PhD in Concrete Structures.

Daniel Gardner

BEng (hons) MIEAust

Director/Senior Engineer

Daniel began his career in the construction industry as an apprentice carpenter. After 8 years as a carpenter and builder, including 6 months overseas, he undertook a bachelor of engineering at The University of Tasmania, graduating with first class honours. Daniel has been a director of Aldanmark since the company was formed and is accredited as a Certified Building Practitioner in the category of Engineering Civil.

Alan Gardner

Partner/Architect

Alan was registered as an architect in 1966 and worked for the Victorian State government for 16 Years. Alan was head of Building and Architecture Studies at TAFE Tasmania for 25 years and boasts 40 year’s experience in the building industry as an architect, builder and teacher. He is accredited as a Certified Building Practitioner in the category of Architect.

Matthew Webster

BEng (hon) MIEAust.

Associate/Engineer

Matthew graduated from University of Tasmania with a degree in Civil Engineering in 2004. During the preceding 16 years, Matthew gained practical experience as a carpenter in both commercial and residential construction. Matthew’s attention to detail together with his practical site skills have seen him grow rapidly in his role as Senior Engineer at Aldanmark. Matt is accredited as a Certified Building Practitioner in the categories of; Engineering Civil, Engineering Building Services and Building Designer.

Annie Gardner

MCom. (Fin) BSc(Hons)

Partner / Accounts Manager

Annie completed her Bachelor of Science (honors) in Statistics in Bangkok, Thailand with a Master in Commerce from UNSW, Sydney. Annie now controls the financial side of Aldanmark managing accounts receivable and payable, payrolls, superannuation, BAS and end of year financial records.

Daniel Frost

Associate/Operations Manager

Daniel has a background in sales and team management and comes to Aldanmark from the Media industry. Daniel manages the daily operations at Aldanmark developing and maintaining the business systems that ensure the company runs smoothly. Daniel has an advanced diploma in business management and works tirelessly to ensure the needs of our clients are not only met but exceeded.

Goce Stojonoski

Structural Engineer

Goce commenced employment with Aldanmark in January 2011. He comes to us from Sydney, where he held a unique position in specialised engineering software development for concrete structural analysis. This role required Goce to engage in a broad and constant use of effective problem solving skills whilst being able to handle projects and communicate with clients both at executive and technical levels.

Neil Sculthorpe

Senior Engineering Technician

Neil joined Aldanmark in 2005 after studying the Advanced Diploma of Engineering at TAFE Tasmania. Neil comes to Aldanmark after several years in the Transport industry, including five years in the Australian Defense Force and five years with Metro Tasmania. Neil offers expert technical documentation support to the engineering team as Senior Engineering Technician.

Morgan McGuire

Senior EngineeringTechnician

Morgan comes to Aldanmark from Kingborough City Council where he was involved in civil engineering for almost 9 years working his way up to Team Leader of the Design Unit. Morgan is currently studying a Degree in Civil Engineering at VSQ via correspondence.

Simon Baxter

Engineering Technician

Simon joined Aldanmark in July 2007 as a junior engineering technician with a background in retail management and a diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Simon offers Technical drafting support to our structural and hydraulic engineers on residential and commercial projects. Simon is working towards completing a Degree in Civil Engineering at Tas Uni.

Adam Foxton

Cert 4 Building Design

Engineering Technician

Adam Foxton joined Aldanmark in 2009 after working for the previous nine years as a residential building designer. He is familiar with all aspects of building design and documentation, from basic constructions to complex architectural designs. Adam is fully acquainted with all BCA and Australian Standards for both engineering and building design, and is in the final stage of building his own architecturally designed home.

Elio Ross

Engineering Technician

Elio has an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and been a member of the Aldanmark team since late 2009. With his background in Mechanical Engineering he now works in close conjunction with the engineers and the technical design team at Aldanmark doing technical drafting on structural and hydraulic designs for a range of residential and commercial projects around the state.

Tom Hazi

Cert 4 Building Design

Engineering Technician

Tom joined Aldanmark in November 2010 as an engineering technician. He brings with him 7 years of experience in architectural drafting and design using 3D modelling and BIM software. Tom offers technical drafting support to our structural and hydraulic engineers on residential and commercial projects. He is currently completing an Advanced Diploma of Civil Engineering at Tasmanian Polytechnic.

Robert Booth

Cert 4 Building Design

Engineering Technician

Rob commenced employment at Aldanmark in mid 2011 having worked as a Building Designer for the past five years. He has a strong technical background and has worked very closely with Aldanmark for a number of years on some quite complex residential designs. Rob brings extensive BIM experience and 3D modelling adding to the BIM capabilities of Aldanmark.

Brendan Stanborough

Civil Engineer

Brendan Commenced employment at Aldanmark in February 2010 after graduating from the University of Tasmania in 2009. He has gained experience in the areas of civil and structural design working under the strong guidance of Aldanmark’s senior engineers. He offers enthusiasm, sound technical knowledge and a strong work ethic focused on managing client expectations and project delivery.

Alvin Lau

Graduate Structural Engineer

Alvin graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2011 and joined Aldanmark shortly afterwards. Alvin is gaining invaluable experience working with Aldanmark’s senior engineers as a graduate structural engineer. With an outgoing personality and eagerness to learn, Alvin offers important design support to Aldanmark’s senior staff.

Aaron Plummer

Geotechnician

Aaron conducts onsite soil test & reports to AS2870 and also produces waste water management reports for construction sites. He undertakes laboratory testing which entails linear shrinkage and shrink swell testing to determine soil reactivity. He has recently completed a Certificate IV in laboratory techniques for soil & geotechnical testing and is currently enrolled in Certificate III studies in Construction Materials Testing.

Monica Antel

Senior Administration Officer

Monica comes to us with a background in sales & marketing, accounts and administration. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Graphic Design and has experience in the building & construction industry and real estate. She has been employed with Aldanmark since September 2010 and provides administrative support to all our staff and professional assistance to our valued clients.

Annalisse Sweetten

Administration Support

Annalisse commenced working with Aldanmark in June 2010 as a trainee Administration Assistant and has recently completed her Certificate III in Business. She is now undertaking studies for a Diploma in Business Administration. Annalisse completes all of her office tasks with utmost efficiency and ease and is a valuable asset to the Aldanmark administrative team.

Margaret Harrison

Administration Support

Margaret has been employed at Aldanmark for a period of seven years and ensures the Aldanmark office is kept in a presentable condition and office stationery and supplies are replenished when required. Margaret also assists with general office duties.
